Third Sunday of Easter
The Northern Bishops have published a letter
this week urging Catholics to use their vote responsibly. Fr Damian will read it at Mass this weekend in advance of the Stormont
election on Thursday. The Bishops do not endorse any particular party but point out the most important issues for Christians:
They also ask us to pray for our politicians and our community at this important time.

MAY—THE MONTH OF MARY
May is the month of special devotion to Our Lady. Mary is the greatest example to us of a Christian who loves God and who serves others. She teaches us how to pray and to listen for the voice of God speaking to our hearts. And as mother of Christ, her prayers for us have a very special power. We should look for ways to honour Mary throughout the month especially in our homes or families. Why not commit to praying the rosary (or at least a decade) regularly as a family throughout the month?
GARDEN OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD
Our garden of remembrance for babies who died before or after birth will be formally opened and blessed by the Vicar General of the Diocese of Down & Connor, Mgr Patrick Delargy, on Sunday May 15th after 10am Mass.
As part of the opening Mgr Delargy will unveil the plaque of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, which parishioners raised funds for last year. We look forward to this special occasion and keep all those affected by the loss of a child in our prayers.

OLD & NEW@No.5
At our parish shop the new stock is going down a storm - thanks to everyone for their kind compliments so far! Check out our lovely watercolour of Drumaheglis and other nice pieces of art which arrived last weekend. We still have some sets of planters left, bird baths and buzzy bee garden decorations. Our tractor seats, llamas, lying dogs, candle houses, hares, rocking horses and birds continue to prove popular with both old and new customers too! So come along and purchase something that little bit different…
Open Wednesday - Saturday 10.00am- 4.30pm and we are based at 5 Gate End, Ballymoney!
