Laetare Sunday

Today's Gospel speaks of God as a loving Father who is full of forgiveness and mercy towards his sons.  The younger son abandoned his family, wasted his inheritance and forgot his religion.  But when he returned to the Father he was forgiven and restored.  The elder son stayed at home—but he’s angry and resentful.  The Father, however is patient and gentle with him too.

Jesus tells this parable to help us understand how merciful a father to us God really is.

OLD & NEW@No.5

Our parish shop is looking for new stock, good quality  ladies clothing and accessories as well as good giftware, ornaments etc.  The shop has a limited amount of space  so we can no longer take  men’s or children‘s clothing.

Our shop is not just about  fundraising but also sustainability.  While we make money, you hopefully get a bargain and our donations get  reused and are not going to landfill. So, when you are doing that spring clean, please think of your parish shop.

A small team of volunteers keep the shop going. We do need more help so if would be thinking about it please talk to Gemma, Gerard or any of our volunteers, or call into the shop and see the set up. We would love to see you!

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION

If you are interested in serving as a Eucharistic minister you are invited to a short meeting after 10am Mass on Sunday 3rd April.  We also need a volunteer coordinator to organise the rota for this ministry.

Ministers will be commissioned on Holy Thursday.  At this time we will only require ministers to help at the Friday evening, Saturday vigil and Sunday morning Masses.

COFFEE MORNING

A coffee morning for Parkinsons Dalriada will take place on Saturday 9th April from 11am-2pm at
Ballymoney Football Club.
