The Live Christmas Crib 2017
The Live Christmas Crib is now open in The Grotto, St. Mary’s Church, Chapel Lane, Belfast, featuring Mary, Joseph, shepherds, and the star of the show, the baby Jesus. Also featuring beautiful animals – Poppy the donkey, Shaun the sheep, Blossom, Buttercup, Pippin the goats, Snowy and Bambi, the alpacas.
The crib runs daily until Christmas Eve from 10.30am to 5.30pm and from 29 December through to 6 January 2018.
Christmas carols live at the crib from 2pm to 2.30pm and 5pm to 5.30pm. All are welcome and children welcome to come dressed as nativity characters. Prayers daily for peace in the world and for every child, born and unborn, at the Live Crib at the following times – Angelus 12 noon, Rosary 2.30pm, Divine Mercy 3pm. Blessing of sick babies and children at the altar daily, on request, immediately after 1pm Mass. All are welcome and children welcome to come dressed as nativity characters.
Proceeds of the Live Crib to Tuesday’s Child Following Yonder Star Christmas Appeal for children in Gaza (Holy Family Catholic Church), Kenya (Franciscan missionaries) and Sudan (Mill Hill Missionaries).
