SVP Christmas Appeal
This week has seen the launch of the annual joint Christmas Appeal run by the Saint Vincent De Paul and Salvation Army for toys and gifts to help families who simply cannot afford Christmas and are forced to rely on help from charities. Last year over 30'000 gifts were distributed throughout N. Irl and the demands are greater than ever this year.
If you wish to donate to the appeal we offer the following guidelines:
All gifts must be new and unwrapped and suitable for children and young people - from tiny tots to teenagers. Family gifts of board games and tins of sweets are always welcome. Teenagers can often appreciate gift tokens, CDs and toiletries.
There will be a box left in the porch of the church for those who wish to support the appeal with donations of new gifts, or alternatively donations are accepted at Tesco or Gordons Chemist.
The deadline for accepting donations is Friday 11 December 2015.
